Our Mission
Our mission is to save as many dogs off the streets as well as dogs on euthanasia lists at shelters across Texas. We spay and neuter all dogs in hopes of reducing the number of unwanted dogs in our state. Our goal is to find them homes full of love and compassion.

Dewey left with Hounds Town!! Thank you Hounds Town USA for fostering a pup for us!!! ... See MoreSee Less
This sweet little Dachshund mix is living on the streets. There is a warehouse there, and the men that work there try to feed all the strays.
WUWF started picking up strays from this location right before the freeze. The sad part is, there just isn’t enough people willing to foster:(.
Some of the dogs disappear or get hit by cars. This is where WUWF saved Carlita from. She was hit by a car and had a broken leg. This sweet boy needs help. We need money for vetting. He isn’t doing too well now. Need to get him to a vet today!

Sweet Maracas needs a foster!!!
Maracas was born 10/19/2025. We think she is Shepherd mixed. Currently about 25-30 pound.
Maracas is sweet, affectionate, happy, playful and athletic. She enjoys plays with her toys, lounging out in the son, and meeting new people and dogs.
Maracas is up to date on vaccines, she is spayed, and microchipped.
Please consider fostering. At least for a few weeks. It all helps!

Meet Nebraska🐾
This 5.5 month old girl is as sweet as they come! She was found at a truck stop with two other puppies during the freeze we had a couple months back. Her foster has nothing but great things to say about her. She’s calm, loves to go on walks, will cuddle up right next to you on the couch, dog friendly, uses the doggy door to go potty , and a true sweetheart! We aren’t sure why Nebraska is still waiting for a family to call her own.
She is fully vetted, and ready to take on her next adventure! If interested in Nebraska please fill out an application and one of our volunteers will get back with you!
